Intern with AKIRA

If you’re the social chair of a sorority at an out-of-state university and you answered these questions in the affirmative, please read on:AKIRA is an innovative men’s and women’s retailer based in Chicago. The company is a major player on the Windy City’s fashion scene and boasts a fast-growing national presence. Since its inception as a single women’s store in 2002, AKIRA has extended its influence to 11 boutiques in the Chicagoland area and an e-tail website (http://www.shopakira.com).As part of our mission to cultivate a reputation with fashion-forward individuals all over the country, we are seeking out students from educational institutions outside of Illinois to serve as AKIRA Sorority Spokeswomen. Over the course of the fall 2010 semester, Spokeswomen will be asked to take on the following responsibilities from their college campuses:-Approximately four marketing tasks a month (these may come in the form of in-person word-of-mouth tasks with other sorority members or viral marketing tasks completed online)-Regular email & phone correspondence with the members of AKIRA Chicago’s officeSpokeswomen will be compensated for their successful marketing efforts by way of gift cards, clothes and a commission (that means that part of the amount you raise for AKIRA during your internship will go right back to you & your sorority sisters!).
